#1) Safety
StripeeZ is designed and engineered not to damage the inner conductors. The blades are precisely set not to pierce the sheathing completely thru, but rather just enough to "score" the sheathing for removal. "Straight-in, straight-out, no problems!" "It's the snapping action that makes it happen!"
Some methods of stripping the sheathing from NM-B can be anywhere from a headache to potentially dangerous. Damaged/nicked conductors can expose the copper, causing arcs, shorts, and overheating. Arcing/shorts occur when current flows from the nicked/exposed wire to another conducting object, such as another nicked/exposed conductor or an enclosure.
Below quoted from: EC&M (Electrical Construction & Maintenance Magazine)
"if you nick a wire or accidentally remove strands from a conductor, there is less copper to carry the same amount of current, resulting in overheating and possibly further damage to the installed wiring. These same conductors, if damaged due to poorly maintained tools, will eventually be hidden by drywall and paint, preventing easy identification of the cause of an AFCI tripping."
"Damaged conductors during installation could result in immediate tripping of the AFCI when the circuit is energized."
#2) Ease of use/Teaching others
StripeeZ is self-explanatory. "Straight-in, straight-out, no problems!" "It's the snapping action that makes it happen!" Anyone can use this product with the confidence that they will achieve the same results every time, in a timely manner, without risk of damaging the internal conductors or themselves. StripeeZ takes the guess work out of it. No more wondering if you're doing it quickly and correctly. No more wondering if your employee is nicking the conductors or minimizing his/her time at each outlet box. With StripeeZ...... It's so easy an apprentice, homeowner, handyman, contractor, plumber, your grandmother, even a caveman can do it! Use a tool made for the job.
StripeeZ: The Ultimate wire stripper!
#3) Time is money:
A typical residential new work construction home has roughly +/-400 to 600 NM-B's between the switches, receptacles, lights, smoke alarms, and the service panel to be stripped. StripeeZ can save the average electrician at least 30+ seconds per wire to be stripped. Now multiply that by the +/-$30 per hour you're paying someone to do it as well as how many houses a year you're wiring and watch the savings rise! WOW!! Nevermind the countless hours and headaches you'll be saving from nuisance Arc-fault trips due to damaged/nicked conductors.
